Project Description

Personal exploration Infographic

Project Goal

The goal of this project is to illustrate how much time I spend on the phone and to see how certain aspects of using my phone are affecting my productivity levels.

Infographic Breakdown

This chart is based off tally markets that I kept track on how much time I spent on my phone. However instead of writing the hours of the day in a 24 Hour Cycle, I wanted to use color gradients transitioning from Morning to Night. Each day is separated neutral colors gray so we can visualize see the  10 day exploration. I will explain further the calculation is how I got the calculations for the G.H. Report.

Calculations

Calculations were based on 30 minute increment throughout the hours of the day.

For example:
In between 7:30-8:00, I was on my phone for 5 minutes

In total, based on Friday I spent 110 minutes on my phone which is about ~ 1.83333 hours on that day only.

Remember outside factors such as events can also effect a person into using their phone. Fridays after a hard week of work on working on projects, I usually treat myself on going to social media to relax and distract my mind, which could be the reason why I spent that much time on my phone than other days of the week.

Analyzing this day, we see that the concentrated time where I spent more time on my phone starting from 3:00pm-7:00pm is where I spent about 55 minutes through out the course of a 4 hour period on social media, entertainment or texting my friends.

I usually have a hard time sleeping or I am working on projects and staying up late nights talking to friends or out with friends at social event, which could be the reason why I was awake at this hour.
