Project Goal
I wanted to design a magazine that embraces the Hispanic culture and its effects on food, makeup, art, and music.
The main mission is to inspire young Latinas in America to follow their dreams and embrace their cultural roots. The specific targeted audience were 15-25-year-old Hispanic women who are on social media.
Design Process
I used a Sans Serif along with Serif to show contrast and elegance. Since my audience is more modern I wanted to include a modern typeface with thins and thick lines. Here I am using the typeface Lust, which is a beautiful serif that has the curly ends which felt very feminine and the descenders would lead the viewer to read “Moderna”.

Visual layout the article information of our feature which is what you see here below, focused on how to style the headline, subhead and body.

Layout sketches and sketches that features the concept of circles to represent the Hispanic community.
Latina Moderna
The design process for Top of the Rock was to use physical elements to create our typography. So using the isometric grid on the left, I wanted to capture the essence of depth and height of the Rockefeller Building. Then transferred over to paper and cut out the words following the grid and laid them on a blue background to capture the natural colors of the shadow the letter created.
